On October 27, 2022, Adrin Cleo Cobb was finally able to go home, as he long desired, surrounded by his family on the Palliative Care unit at Lakeland Regional Health. He was born November 23, 1939, in Cobbtown, Georgia to Mamie Dell & Obie Cobb. As a young child, the family relocated to Lakeland, Florida. He was a graduate of Lakeland High School. He was a member of the U. S. Air Force, stationed in Tokyo, where, he met his wife, Toshiko Kinjo, while visiting Okinawa. After he was honorably discharged from the Air Force, he relocated back to Lakeland to be with his family. He was a former employee of U. S. Steel and Publix.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and older brother Jerry Cobb.
He is survived by his wife, Toshiko, his sister, Etwinda Jenkins, brother-in-law Chokichi Kinjo, children Jerri (Justin) Wanielista, Tammy Dickerson, Glenn Cobb & Michelle (Jeff) Ray. Also survived by his grandchildren, Jackie (Tim) Norman, Kristen Wanielista, Mary Handley, Billy Dickerson, Tabitha Ray, Blaine Wanielista, Tyler Cobb, & the “Sugar Boy” Clay Wanielista plus three “Angel babies”. He has five beautiful great-grandchildren Austin & Madison Handley, Helayna Dickerson & Rylie & Bryson Norman plus the” Angel baby” Aurora. He is also survived by multiple nieces & nephews and several cousins.
Later in life, he became a Christian and was a member of Family Worship. He was a huge fan of fishing, the Florida Gators, the Bucs and the Rays.
Burial will take place at Oak Hill Burial Park.
