Curtis Raymond Hartline

Lakeland- Curtis Raymond Hartline, age 70, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was born in Barnsley, KY on May 16, 1948 to James and Mobie Hartline. Curt graduated from South Hopkins High School and from Vanderbilt Radiologic Technology School. He also attended Penn State University, where he studied Electrical Applications and received the highest honors in the class. Curt recently celebrated 50 years of marriage to his beloved wife, Brenda. He was a loving family man who was active in all his children’s activities. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Madisonville, KY and First Baptist Church in Jasper, AL. Curt had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing baseball, watching football, and traveling. He was honored to be a Veteran of the Navy. Curt and Brenda started Hartline Supply, Inc. in 1992. They opened locations in Jasper, AL, Grand Junction, CO, and Mulberry, FL and enjoyed living in each of these states. Curt was blessed to be able to work with his family and live within a few miles of his children and grandchildren. Curt was predeceased by his parents, James and Mobie Hartline of Barnsley, KY. He is survived by his wife Brenda Hartline; daughter and her husband, Cathey and Tom Lane; son and his wife, Brian and Julie Hartline; his beloved grandchildren, Robert and Ashley Lane, and Emily and Andrew Hartline, all of Lakeland, FL; brother and his wife, Doug and Linda Hartline of Dawson Springs, KY; sister and her husband, Teresa and Butch Pulley, of Nortonville, KY; and several nieces and nephews. A visitation with the family will be held at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 S. Ingraham Ave., Lakeland, FL 33801 at 1:00 pm on Monday, May 21, 2018 followed by services at 2:00 pm with interment at Oak Hill Burial Park, 4620 US Hwy 98S, Lakeland, FL 33812 Flowers may be sent to Heath Funeral Chapel or memorial gifts may be made to Colorectal Cancer Alliance, 1025 Vermont Avenue NW, Suite 1066, Washington, DC 20005 or American Liver Foundation, 39 Broadway, Suite 2700, New York, NY 10006
