Dennis Post

Dennis Ray Post, of Lakeland, FL passed away Saturday, February 20, at the age of 79. Dennis was born in Tallman, NY, then moved to Florida where he graduated from Winter Park High school and Florida Technical University. He worked for the City of Lakeland for 31 years. Dennis loved music, gardening, and was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir, served as a Deacon and also as a Sunday school teacher. Dennis was a loving husband to Virginia Post, his wife of 55 years. He is also survived by children Andy Post, Tim Post, and Wendy Post and grandchildren Selah Post, Zachary Post, Hannah Post, Emily Post, Wesley Post, Hayden Post, Abby Perera, and Jack Perera. His favorite verse is Isaiah 40:31. “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint” A service is planned for Friday February 26 at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Lakeland, FL at 2 pm.
