Paige, Patricia Walloga (Robert), and Amy Hoien (Thomas), all of Lakeland. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Heather Bone, Kimberly Paige, Amanda Farrell, Ethan Hoien & Erik Hoien; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynn Paige, and his grandson, Christopher Rogers. Born in Brandon, Florida, Jim served 2 years in the Navy (1944-1946) before entering Florida Southern College and earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 1950. In 1951, Jim earned a Master of Education degree from the University of Florida and began teaching in Avon Park that same year. Jim taught Industrial Arts and Auto Mechanics for several years at FSC and Lakeland High School before entering school administration. He served as Assistant Principal at Crystal Lake Junior High, then served as Principal at Fort Meade Junior/Senior High School from 1969-1979. He then served as county supervisor of Industrial Arts until retiring in 1990. Jim also enjoyed a second career of real estate investing, during which he developed many important friendships. Jim was very handy and enjoyed building, repairing everything, and working in the yard. Jim was happiest when he discovered a creative solution and could share his idea with us. He attended and served in various ways at College Heights United Methodist Church for over 50 years. Jim was very proud to have sponsored the installation of the organ chimes, which offered another beautiful element to our worship services.
