James Peter Martin

James P. Martin, 61, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away June 19, 2011, at his home due to heart failure. James was born May 6, 1950, in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late Evelyn Irene and Peter Martin. James graduated from High School in 1968 and immediately began living life his way. He was an independent self made man, self employed and a top seller with Mac tools. More recently, he had worked with distribution for Arnold Breads in the Lakeland Area. James enjoyed life, and will be missed by those in the Schalamar Creek Golf community, those he worked with, and the many friends and family he kept in touch with all over the United States. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his Mother, Evelyn Irene and his Father, Peter Martin. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, James and Debbie Martin of Bemidji, Mn.; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and John Martin-Cole of Fredericksburg, Va; Four granddaughters, all of them his pride and joy, Nicole, Shannon, Lainie, and Phoeboe, all of Fredericksburg, Va. ; Two Sisters and their husbands, Connie and Harry Arnold and Evie and Bob Stone and their children. His Godmother, his aunts and uncles, other numerous and countless friends and family. An open memorial service for friends in the Lakeland area will be held Sunday, June 26th, at 7pm in the Schalamar Creek Country club. A memorial service for family in Virginia is still pending.
