John Charles Singler was born on May 17, 1956, in Philadelphia, PA., and died on February 14, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. He moved to Lakeland in 1965 and attended Lakeland Senior High School, where he met his soulmate, Cyndi. He graduated in 1974 and then earned his AA Degree from Polk Community College. He worked in the Auto Paint and Body Supply industry for over 35 years. John enjoyed NASCAR, Bucs football, tinkering on cars, going to the sports car races in Sebring, the beach, the mountains of North Carolina, spending time with family and friends, and a good cold beer. He was affectionately known by several nicknames: Pugsley, Slack and Sparky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Eleanor Singler; two brothers, Ed and Ron. He is survived by his loving spouse Cynthia Terry, two brothers Larry (BB) and Kenny (Lisa), and many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021, from 5:00 – 7:00PM at Heath Funeral Chapel Tribute Center, 328 S. Ingraham Avenue, Lakeland, Florida. Adherence to CDC Covid-19 guidelines will be observed – masks required.
