MORAG GARDNER PRIDGEN, 89 Lakeland - Morag Gardner Pridgen, 89, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2015. She was born in Cambuslang, Scotland on March 30, 1926. She briefly lived in England during World War II. Morag moved from Scotland to Lakeland, Florida in 1949. There, she met the love of her life, Thomas D. Pridgen. They were married for 30 years until his death in 1981. She resided in Lakeland until her death. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends and had been to many countries throughout the world, including those in Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. She enjoyed the beach at Longboat Key and sailing with her family. She will be remembered for her bright personality and sense of humor. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Margaret Gardner, husband, Thomas D. Pridgen, sister, Catherine Daly, and brothers, James Gardner and David Gardner. She is survived by her daughter, Julie (Ed) Jameson of Lakeland and her granddaughter, Alison (Drew) Luebbert of Chicago. She also leaves behind a cousin in Scotland and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the chapel at First United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude""s Children""s Hospital or the Lakeland Chapter of the SPCA.
