Timothy Alan Van Horne, 50, passed away on November 27th, 2016. He was the husband of Cheryl Ann Waters Van Horne. They shared 22 years of marriage together. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Robert and Delores Van Horne. He attended Bethel Park High School, Bishop Canevin High School, Slippery Rock University and Ohio University. He was employed at Outback Steakhouse for many years, where he was Kitchen Manager. Tim was belonged to Theta Chi at Slippery Rock, and a singer/guitar player in his band CHUNKS throughout his 20""s. He loved music, playing guitar, cooking, animals, the Steelers (and any other Pittsburgh sports teams), Star Wars, The Simpsons, reading, writing, gardening and spending time with his family and dogs. Tim played sports his whole life; he was a hockey player from the time he could walk, and helped lead Canevin to two state titles with his best friend, Greg Oldaker. Some of his favorite bands/musicians were Van Halen, MegaDeth, KISS, The Beatles, Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Alice Cooper and The Dead Kennedys; anyone that knew Tim knows he was Randy Rhoad""s #1 fan. He will always be remembered for his effortless ability to make everyone around him laugh and smile, and his enormous heart and generosity. Tim would give anyone the shirt off his back. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Van Horne, his two daughters Jaina Van Horne and Winter Van Horne, and his two dogs, Ace and Lacey. The visitation will be held on December 4th, 2016 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 South Ingraham Avenue, Lakeland, FL 33801. The funeral service will be held on December 5th, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Stephen""s Episcopal Church, 1820 County Road 540A, Lakeland, FL 33813 with a graveside memorial at the Oak Hill Cemetery.
