Vincent Bernard Birkner

Vincent Bernard Birkner Project Manager Vincent Bernard Birkner of Lakeland passed away on December 20, 2014 from heart failure. He was born on April 4, 1930 in Mount Airy, North Carolina. He came to Lakeland to work for Wellman-Lord Engineering in 1958. He retired from Jacobs Engineering in Baton Rouge, LA in 1999 to return to Florida to be with his family. He is survived by his wife June, sons Joe (Lisa) and John (Kristy), daughter Mary Rieger (Greg), seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on December 29, 2014 at Heath Funeral Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A memorial mass will be held at St. Anthony""s on December 30, 2014 at 10:00 am.
