Albert J Barkman

Albert J. Barkman, 96, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at home surrounded by his family.

Bert served from 1945 to 1947 in the Army Air Corps. He was the owner of the Mt. Hope Hardware in Ohio and moved to Florida in 1969, with his family. He enjoyed a career for 32 years as a salesman of refrigerated truck bodies for Kidron Truck Bodies.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Carnahan Barkman on November 14, 2006.

Bert is survived by his 2 sons, Albert Wayne Barkman (Dale), and Gar Allen Barkman (Joseph Dowling); his daughters, Barbara Dawn Barkman, Sharon Elizabeth Sperry (Darrell), and Lisa Ann Yerton (Russell); grandchildren, Tracy Nicole Ducar (Jason), Christy Danielle Smith (Brian), Erica Anne Baldwin (Adam), Link Russell Yerton (Briana Marie Cerbone), Kendall Elizabeth Upton (Sam), and Kinsey Lee Sperry; great grandchildren, Bryant Wayne Smith, Caleb Richard Smith, LJ Ducar and Sadie Sinclair Upton.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 11 am with visitation 1 hour before the service. Reception will follow in the Tribute Center.
