Andrew Boleslaw Zakrzewski

August 20, 1943 — January 19, 2026

Andrew Boleslaw Zakrzewski passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Born in Warsaw, Poland, he immigrated to the USA as a teenager. He graduated from Brookyln College before serving as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps. He went on to the FBI before landing a long career with Flight Safety International as a flight instructor and Director of Training. Fluent in several languages, especially Spanish, he also served as an interpreter for international students. A Renaissance man known for his numerous hobbies including writing multiple autobiographies. He is survived by his loving wife Patti (whom he affectionately called, “my dear”); his stepchildren Tracy, Kari, Michael (Kat), and Jimmy(deceased); seven grandchildren Destiny, Drake, Sierra, Baily, Cole, Nicholas, and Zoe; four great-grandchildren Norah, Amelia, Rowan, and Maverick; and his close friend Ken Dawson as well as his two brothers and their extended families.
