Carl Grady Moore, 80, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025.
Born on May 1, 1945, in Lakeland, Carl was a lifelong resident of the area. After graduating from Summerlin Institute in 1963 (Bartow, FL), he served in the U.S. Army as a Private, stationed in Panama from 1963 to 1966. He carried the discipline and dedication of his military service into every aspect of his life.
Carl worked as an Journeyman Lineman for both the City of Bartow (1977-1988) and the City of Lakeland (1988-2003) and later as an Electrician at Watson Clinic, where he was known for his skill, work ethic, and reliability—earning numerous accolades over the years. He took pride in a job well done and was respected by all who worked alongside him.
He is survived by his three daughters, Jennifer (Jason) Mulligan, Caryn (Gene) Harrison, and Deborah Zolkos; and by his six grandchildren: Kyle, Elizabeth, Seth, Justin, Riley, and Brooke, who were his pride and joy.
Carl was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Judith Cox Moore, his brother Jim Moore, his sister Katie Mae Fulghum, and his parents, Thomas and Mae Bell Moore.
Carl lived a life of quiet strength, steady hands, and unwavering love for his family. He believed in showing up, working hard, and being there for the people who mattered. He will be deeply missed and warmly remembered.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 14, 2025 at 10:30 AM in the Tribute Center at Heath Funeral Chapel with service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow after the service at Oak Hill Burial Park, 4620 US Highway 98 S., Lakeland, FL 33812
