In Loving Memory of Carol Patricia Halley

February 19, 1947 – March 20, 2026

Carol Patricia Halley, a devoted and beloved mother of five, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026, at age of 79 in Lakeland, Florida.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, to Helen and Richard Halley, she was the eldest of ten siblings and dedicated her life to caring for her family through hard work, kindness and unwavering love.

Known for her warm smile and joyful spirit, Carol touched everyone she met. She was a proud grandmother of sixteen (Carol Lynn, Jerry, Alex, Katie, Heather, Corey, Rebecca, Andy, Roy, Michelle, Angelica, Sarah, Kathie, Kevin, Faith, Josh) and great-grandmother to seven (Victoria, Gracelyn, Damion, Katlyn, Madison, Addison, Zara).

She is survived by her children, Bernard McInerney (Marisela), Christine McInerney, Kathy McInerney and Michelle Mihaljevic/Garrett (Josh), as well as many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her son Gerald McInerney, grandson Roy Sizemore, siblings Jerry and Linda and her parents.

A celebration of life will be planned in Chicago, IL at a future time.

The family gratefully appreciates all the love and support shown during this difficult time of loss.
