Carol Lee Viner

Carol Lee Viner, of Lakeland, FL, passed away surrounded by her family and the compassionate embrace of God on October 6th, 2022. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Viner of Lakeland, FL; son, Alan Viner; daughter, Alison Wasser; and eight grandchildren. She was the eldest of her two surviving brothers Marsden Shaver and Doug Shaver. She demonstrated unconditional love for her family and community.

Carol had a love for teaching, sewing, gardening, and writing children's books. She taught at Jesse Keen Elementary School for nine years. As a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, she graciously served on the Women's Ministry Board, coordinated meals for families, wrote letters of spiritual encouragement, and visited elderly church members unable to attend worship services. She will be remembered for her generosity, her love for her grandchildren, and her response to God's goodness in her life.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 10am at Oak Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Lighthouse Ministries Jay & Eloise Troxel Family Life Center in downtown Lakeland where Carol faithfully served our community, or to My Fathers Arrows in Jay, FL.
