Carol (Deppe) Walsh passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 30.
Though she resided in Lakeland, Florida, Carol spent most of her life in New England, a place she loved deeply and where she always felt most at home.
Born in Danvers, Massachusetts, on April 28, 1956, Carol dedicated her life to caring for others. She graduated from Salam Hospital School of Nursing (77) and was a registered nurse who spent many years in pediatrics. Known for her unwavering compassion and care she brought that same spirit into her home, especially during the holidays. Thanksgiving and Christmas were her favorite times of year, and she took such pride in the thoughtful touches that made those days warm and memorable. She also had a gift for making birthdays feel uniquely special, always finding ways to make others feel celebrated.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Walsh, with whom she would have celebrated 50 years of marriage in June; her children, Ryan Walsh (Stacy), Sarah Walsh, and Caitlin Lesco (Chris); and her beloved grandchildren, Delaney and Nate, who brought her immeasurable joy. She is also survived by her siblings, Dianne Southwell, Fred Deppe, Suzanne Lavalla, and Glenn Deppe, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor Marrone; her stepfather, Henry Marrone; and her father, Frederick C. Deppe.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Give Kids The World Village, a nonprofit that grants week-long Disney vacations to children with critical illnesses and their families, honoring Carol’s lifelong love of the place she considered the happiest place on earth: https://www.gktw.org/help/give.php
