Dorothy (Dottie) Marie Evers was born in West Point, GA to Regina E (Spaeth) and John Ross Evers.
She grew up in Plant City, FL before she joined the United States Air Force and became a loadmaster and stewardess.
She met her husband, Charles S Myers, who was a pilot. Dottie and Chuck traveled the world while he served.
She enjoyed hosting family and friends, bowling, serving her community and her Lutheran Church, no matter where that may have been.
Dottie and Chuck settled down in Bartow, FL.
Dottie passed away in her residence surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the age of 88.
Dottie is survived by her daughters, Deborah Dombroski (Thomas), Vanessa Howard, son-in-law Jay Antrobus; granddaughter, Dana Thomasson (Austin); siblings, Ross Evers, Paula Brogan, Thelma Sherling.
Dottie was preceded by her husband, LTC (USAF) Charles S Myers; daughter, Teresa Myers-Antrobus; siblings, Ida Warren, Helen Jarvis, and Thomas Evers.
Dottie’s visitation will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 11AM at Heath Funeral Chapel, Lakeland, FL with service starting at 12PM, reception to follow.
Interment ceremony held Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 10:15AM at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell where she will be given full military honors.
Dottie will be greatly missed but all memories cherished. 1 Cor 13:13” So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
