Edgar Hoyt Maddox

Edgar Hoyt Maddox (72), born December 21, 1953, passed away on January 11, 2026. Born in Dade City Florida to Albert and Leola Maddox. Edgar is proceeded in death by his parents Albert and Leola, his brothers Harold Maddox and Albert Ferril Maddox.

Edgar is survived by his daughter Stacey Register and her fiancé Jerry Whitehouse, his granddaughter Bridget, his grandson Jbug, his sister Carole Delores Creach and her husband Charles, along with several nieces and nephews.

Edgar was a man of few words, and often marched to the beat of his own drum. But he loved to crack a dad joke here and there. One of his favorites was, “I yam what I yam”. He was also a fantastic artist, which he inherited from his mother Leola. He was the youngest of his siblings and admired his siblings and his mother very much.
