George Talvin Coward

George T. Coward Attorney Lakeland – Mr. George T. Coward, a lifelong resident of Lakeland, Florida died of heart failure Friday, December 11, 2020 at Lakeland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a prolonged illness. He was 79. He was born in Winter Haven, Florida on December 10, 1941. He graduated from Lakeland Senior High, received degrees from Washington and Lee University, NYU School of Law and Stetson Law School. He began his law career in Bartow in 1965 and later moved to Lakeland. He was a long-time member of the Elks Club of Lakeland. Mr. Coward was preceded in death by his parents, James T. Coward, father, Ruth B. Coward, mother, sisters, Joy Anderson and Carolyn Coward. He is survived by his brother, Robert C. Coward (Susan) as well as several nephews and nieces.
