Glenda Wilson

Glenda Allison Wilson, 73, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

Glenda was born on April 8, 1953, in Grenada, Mississippi.

Throughout her life, she was known for her kind heart, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to her family & community. Glenda always put the needs and happiness of everyone else before her own, finding her greatest joy in caring for the people she loved. She lived a life defined by love, generosity, and selflessness.

She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother whose greatest accomplishments were measured not by accolades, but by the lives she touched in the community and the love she shared. Her gentle spirit, compassionate heart, and endless kindness will remain an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Glenda is survived by her beloved husband, Clay Wilson; her sister, Sandra Cambre; her children, Allison Cross (née Wilson), Jonathan Wilson, Brittany Verbet (née Wilson), Brian Wilson, and Christi Wilson; and her cherished grandchildren, Tyler Cross, Wyatt Wilson, Collins Wilson, and Dallas Cross.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the countless memories she gave us and the example she set through a life of unconditional love, grace, and her acts of service to all. Her legacy lives on in her family and in the many lives she touched with her selfless heart. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

A celebration of Glenda's life will be held at Church For The ONE on Monday, August 3rd. Visitation will begin at 10:30AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00AM. A private interment for the family will follow afterward at the Lakeland Memorial Gardens.
