He was born in Florence, Alabama on November 21, 1933 to Douglas and Marie Murphy. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a retired truck driver. Harold was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Sheila Whaley; and his son, Gary Murphy. He is survived by his wife, Anne; his two sons, Danny Murphy (Kathy) and Larry Murphy (Janet); his sister, Ruth Bronson of Apopka, FL, his brother, Travis Murphy of Live Oak, FL, his granddaughter, Kristen Moore; two grandsons, Clint and Russell Murphy; and four great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm -7:00 pm on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 South Ingraham Avenue, Lakeland, FL 33801 with a graveside service at 11:00 am on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Oak Hill Burial Park, 4620 US Hwy 98 S. Lakeland, FL.
