James Dennis Cargal

On Wednesday, September 11, 2024, James “Dennis” Cargal, passed away at the age of 71, after a very short but intense battle with leukemia.

Dennis was born on July 6, 1953, in Gadsden, Alabama, and married his wife, Kathy, on October 6, 1973. Dennis and Kathy married young and grew up together but never had children.

He loved motorcycles, go karts, quarter scale car racing, old pickup trucks and NASCAR. He was most proud of buying and operating a rental store, U-Do-It Rentals. His hobby in more recent years was purchasing and polishing old hand tools to look brand new.

Dennis is survived by his wife; Kathy, his sister; Linda Anderson, and his brother; Perry Cargal.

His older sister, Bonnie Cochran, predeceased him.

The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
