Johanna M. Emory, 84 Registered Nurse Lakeland: Johanna M. Emory, 84, of Lakeland, died on January 28, 2015 from complications from sepsis. She was born on November 14, 1930 in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. Johanna was a member of St. Joseph""s Catholic Church here in Lakeland. She also served as Eucharistic minister to the sick, and was a volunteer and board member of the Polk Senior Games and a member of the Legion of Mary. She also was an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her husband James E. Emory Jr.; her parents Joseph and Elizabeth Kosela; 2 brothers; Richard & Alvin Kosela, a granddaughter Jennifer Pappas, and son in law Charles Fertitta. She is survived by her 6 children; Paulette Emory, Patricia Werschulz, Robin Ann Emory, James E. Emory III, Sharon Conlin, and Joseph Emory; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, her dog Casey, and a host of friends and many people who loved her. A viewing will be held on Sunday February 1, 2015 from 2-4 P.M. at Heath Funeral Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday February 2, 2015 at 10 AM at St. Joseph""s Catholic Church.
