Jon "Jonny" McCoy Bulger

The Lord called our precious Jon "Jonny" McCoy Bulger, home on March 20, 2026, after a two-week battle for his life at Lakeland Regional Hospital. He was 18 years old and a senior at Lakeland Christian School. Although his next chapter was just beginning, he had already touched and changed so many lives.

To know Jonny is to love Jonny. He had a deep passion for the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting, and cherished spending time with his family, friends, and his newly rescued English Lab. Though we may never know why the Lord took our Jonny home so soon, we find peace in knowing that Jonny served his purpose in this life, so God said to him, “Job well done my good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:21

He will be deeply missed by his parents, Matt and Sara Bulger; his sister, Kathryn Bulger; his grandmothers, Melody Bulger Miller (Ron) and Lucy Henry (Joe); his two great-grandmothers; and his aunts, uncles, many cousins, and dear friends who became family. His grandfathers, Mike Bulger and Rodney McCoy, will be with him until we are reunited with him again in heaven.

A visitation will be held at Family Worship Center on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by an 11:00 a.m. service. Graveside services will follow at Oak Hill Burial Park.
