Karen Louise Ankrom Rider-Blackstone, of Lakeland, FL died of cancer on Saturday, April 16, 2016. She was 73. Born in Kansas City, KS, to Gladys Kiel and Barney Ankrom. She was preceded in death by both parents. Survivors include brother, Ken Ankrom, of Nebraska City, NE; daughter, Kerry Lynn Rider Wagner, of Jefferson, SD; son, Cameron Scott Blackstone, of Lakeland, FL; first husband, Raymond Rider, of Olathe, KS; second husband, William Darryl Blackstone, of Lakeland, FL; and four grandchildren. She set the example for kindness, love, and compassion. The most self-effacing woman we have ever known ~ May your light shine upon us forever.
