Lana Jolene Vandegenachte

Lana VanDeGenachte, age 74, died on February 13, 2023. Lana was born on Sept. 27, 1948, in Macomb, IL. She worked in the service industry, with her last employment being at Grasslands Golf & Country Club. She loved working there and met many friends as she was a “people person”. Lana loved sewing, embroidery, crossword puzzles and puzzle books. She also loved animals and dogs in particular, breeding German Shepherd puppies at one point in her life. Lana was a member of the Community Bible Study at Lakes Church.

Lana was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Verlene Heidenreich and brother Randy Burnham.

She is survived by her son, Troy Allen (Stephanie), granddaughters Olivia and Madeline, sisters Denise Heidenreich, Debra Jankowski (Buerl), Darlos Stroud, and Paula Smith along with several loving nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Anna and David Marshall for all their loving support and friendship to Lana over the years. We would also like to thank the nurses, CNA’s and all the staff at Highlands Lake Center for their care of Lana and the family during her stay there.

A memorial service will be held at Lakes Church in the chapel on Friday, February 17th at 10:00am.
