Lillian M. Narvaez

October 17, 1981 — June 3, 2022

Mulberry-Lillian M Narvaez passed away Friday, June 3, 2022. She was born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico on October 17. 1981. She is survived by her husband Jose Narvaez, son Lucas Mateo Narvaez, parents Hector & Hilda Deida. Siblings Anne-Marie Bernard (Richard Bernard - spouse), Hector M. Deida (Sonia Deida - spouse) and Lisette M. Moore (Herman Moore - spouse). Nieces and nephews: Richard C. Bernard, Daniel A. Bernard, Hector M. Deida, Jr, Mariana L. Moore & Soledad M Moore. Her mother and father in-law: Jose L. Narvaez and Virginia Narvaez. Lillian was the youngest of four children. In spite of the age gap between siblings, she was very close to all of them. Lillian attended the Universidad Católica de Bayamón where she received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Special Education. She was a Special Education teacher in Puerto Rico and Polk County for over 20 years. Teaching was one of her greatest joys, especially working with students on the Autism Spectrum. She was full of life and laughter. She will always be remembered for her smile which would light up any room. Anywhere she went, she would make a friend. Lillian loved helping and doing things for others. Even when she was being treated for Acute Myeloid Leukemia, she always showed deep concern for how her family and friends were coping with her illness. Her son was the light of her eyes and the reason why she fought this disease with her entire being. The Lord had other plans for her. We will miss her every day for the rest of our lives. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be sent to Moffitt Cancer Center in her memory: Moffitt Cancer Center 12902 Magnolia Drive, Tampa, Florida 33612. Services will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022, at 11:00 am. at Heath Funeral Chapel 328 S Ingraham Ave. Lakeland, Florida 33801, with a visitation/reception to follow in the Tribute Center at 12:00 noon.
