Linda Lee Campbell

November 16, 1942 — April 6, 2026

Lakeland

Linda Lee (“Lively”) Campbell died April 6, 2026, at Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center. She was 83 years old.

She was born November 16, 1942, in Beckley, West Virginia, the daughter of Seibert Franklin Lively and Hazel Virginia (“Hudson”) Lively. She was the oldest of three daughters. She lived in Baltimore, Maryland, where her father worked with Martin Marietta, and Orlando, Florida, when her father transferred. She moved to Lakeland in approximately 1966 where she lived until her passing (other than a short residence in Vero Beach with an employer).

Linda attended Polk Community College and Indian River Community College. She started her career at the age of 31. Linda worked for Piper Aircraft for 17 years, advancing in a short period of time from her initial entry level position to the data processing manager, and following them to Vero Beach for many years following the closure of the Lakeland facility. After Piper closed the Vero Beach location, she returned to Lakeland with various positions, finally as a customer service collection clerk with Clark & Daughtrey for 14 years, retiring in 2010.

Linda loved eating out, reading, and communicating with family and friends. She fiercely loved her family, and dedicated every day to her children, grandchildren, great grandchild, her sisters and all of her other family and friends. She was a very strong and intelligent woman. She strived to resolve every challenge or issue that any family member faced. Our mom cherished the moments she spent with her family and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents and by both sets of grandparents. She was also predeceased by her sister, Jo Anne Lively. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Lisa Heidt, of Melbourne, and son, Timothy F. Campbell, of Lakeland; and by her granddaughter, Savannah Madison Campbell, three grandsons, Christopher Michael (and his wife Amy), Justin Lee and John Wesley Heidt, and her great grandson, Aidan Christopher Heidt. She is also survived by her sister, Jean St. John (with son Dale Barker, daughter Dianna Barker and daughter Jennifer St. John), and her late sister’s daughter, Wendy Webster. Linda is further survived by other relatives. She enjoyed and valued relationships with her children’s close friends during their lives. She also very much valued many relationships that were formed during her employment at Piper Aircraft and Clark & Daughtrey.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, April 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 S. Ingraham Avenue, Lakeland, Florida, with a family burial to follow.
