Linton "Lh" Terry, Jr.

Linton ""LH"" Terry, Jr. 82 Plant City- Linton H. Terry, Jr., 82, peacefully passed away at his home in Plant City from respiratory failure on December 2, 2014. LH was born November 10, 1932, in Lakeland, Fl., to the late Linton H. Terry, Sr., and Florida Melton Terry. LH grew up in Lakeland and graduated from Lakeland High School in 1950,where he played football. He then attended Florida Southern College, where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He graduated from FSC in 1954. He began his careers as a First Lieutenant in the US Army Military Police, became a stockbroker, worked as a Sales Rep for General Box Company, and later retired from the Hillsborough County State Attorney""s Office. LH was a wonderful husband, father, and devoted family man. During his life, he coached little league baseball, taught Sunday School at College Heights Methodist Church, and endeared himself to many. He enjoyed golf, hunting, cooking his infamous secret barbeque chicken, spending time with family and friends he cared for so much. LH is survived by a loving family that includes his wife of 6o years, Evelyn Fouts Terry. His children: Cynthia Terry(John Singler) of Lakeland, Linton Terry of Plant City, Patricia Randall (Blaine) of Port Orange. Five grandchildren: Linton M. Terry (Nicole) of Lakeland, Aubrey Krueger (Bob) of Tampa, Kristen Terry (Jarrod) of Auburn, AL., Abigayle and Emma Randall of Port Orange. Four great-grand children: Mackenzie, Braden, and Linton ""LJ"" Terry, and Trey Krueger. His brother, Charles M. Terry (Jean) of Lakeland, and several cousins, nieces, and relatives by marriage. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Tribute Center of Heath Funeral Chapel, with a celebration of life being held Saturday, December 13, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Heath Funeral Chapel.
