Margaret Bauswell passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, at Lakeland Regional Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.
Margaret was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy in life was spending time with those she loved. She treasured family gatherings, where her warmth, laughter, and caring spirit brought everyone together. She also enjoyed playing cards, watching her favorite cop shows, and creating lasting memories with family and friends.
Three words that best describe Margaret's life are meaningful, fulfilling, and sarcastic. She had a quick wit and a sense of humor that could brighten a room, and her candid, often sarcastic remarks were a source of laughter and fond memories for those fortunate enough to know her.
Margaret was predeceased by her beloved mother, Charlotte Hays (November 21, 1918), whose love and influence helped shape the woman Margaret became.
Margaret will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her children: daughter Dawn; son Jeremy and his spouse, Ellen; daughter Justina and her spouse, David; and daughter Jessica and her spouse, Justin. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Shannon, Ethan, Drew, Daimyan, Emmalyn, Hailee, Payton, Hunter, Shiloh, and Salem, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
Margaret's love, guidance, and unwavering support will remain in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
Though she is no longer with us, Margaret's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to family will continue to live on through those she leaves behind.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at 13990 O'Connor Drive, Kathleen, FL 33849. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather in remembrance of Margaret's life, share memories, and celebrate the love and joy she brought to those around her.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Lakeland Regional Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Margaret during her final days.
"Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear."
