Margaret Jean Credit, born on August 13, 1962, in Boston, Massachusetts passed away suddenly on the evening of April 5, 2026. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Margaret later made her home in Florida, where she lived for more than fifteen years.

Margaret lived a life full of love, warmth, and joy. Music was a huge part of her everyday life. She danced her heart out and was never afraid to sing along animatedly. She loved going on walks and pointing out God’s creation in everything she saw. With a cup of tea every morning, she spent quiet time reading her Bible and devotionals.

Margaret was an incredible cook. She loved creating in the kitchen with her husband Larry and preparing huge family meals to share together. Everyone always looked forward to her famous beef stew. She found happiness in simple, meaningful times with Larry—going to the movies, bike rides, playing games, cooking, exercising, and especially cheering on Boston sports teams together.

She had a special love for the colors yellow and orange, a reflection of her bright, sunny spirit. Her granddaughters were her pride and joy; she adored them endlessly, often zooming in on their photos just to see their sweet faces more closely. She was overjoyed to recently live across from her daughter Cali, her husband Hunter and their daughter Payton. They visited each other daily to exercise, share a meal, or just say hi.

Margaret worked for Whole Foods Market for over 20 years in Human Resources. She went above and beyond her required duties, truly caring for each employee. Margaret had a gift for seeing the best in others. She offered wisdom without judgment, kindness without hesitation, and love without condition. She was the person so many turned to for guidance, comfort, and reassurance. She made people feel seen. To those who knew her, Margaret was truly a walking ray of sunshine.

Margaret was the youngest of eight children, born to the late Stanley and Kathleen Nowak. She is survived by her loving husband, Larry Credit; her daughter, Cali and her husband, Hunter and their daughter Payton. She was a treasured stepmother to Talyn and Sara, including Talyn’s daughters Aurelia and Ginny and Talyn’s husband Jim. She also leaves behind her dear sisters, Kathleen Kelleher, Elizabeth Salome, Mary-Louise O’Brien, and Helen White. Margaret was predeceased by her beloved brothers, Stanley Richard (Dicky) Nowak, Michael Nowak, and Joseph Nowak.

Her legacy is one of faith, compassion, laughter, and unwavering love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

Her memory will remain a blessing, and her light will continue to shine in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
