Marilyn J. Tanner

Marilyn J. Tanner, 89, of Lakeland, passed away on November 30, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Jerry F. Tanner.

Born in Napoleon, Ohio on June 8, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Ford and Bernadine (Crossman) Hann. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Charles Hann and son-in-law, Robert Jones.

Marilyn graduated high school in 1951; and moved to Lakeland, Florida in 1977 from Toledo, Ohio. She worked for several years at IMC Corp., in Bartow, where she met Jerry.

She is survived by her four children: Jan Twiss Stricklen, Joy Twiss (Robert) Jones, David Twiss, and Stephen Twiss, 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; and 2 sisters, Marlene (Ted) Swick and Linda (Michael) Hunt.

The family will receive friends 1-2:00 pm Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 S. Ingraham Ave, Lakeland, FL 33801.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm at the funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Burial Park.
