Mary Ellen Napier

Mary Ellen Napier was peacefully called home to be with the Lord on December 1st 2024 at the age of 86. Mary was born February 1st, 1938, in Lakeland, Florida to Marguerite Prescott and Dennis Hicks Parker. 

She resided in Lakeland nearly her entire life. Mary was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, mom-mom, and gg. Being around her family gave her the most joy. Her family was her greatest treasure and loved them all unconditionally. Mary was the youngest of 4 children. She had a strong will, faithful soul, and a heart of gold. When Mary was a teenager she made a record and was asked to be on the ED Sullivan show. Although the show was canceled her strong love of music and singing continued. 

Mary married the love of her life Jack Larry Napier on June 19th, 1965. They were happily married until Jacks passing in 2007. In April 1970 Mary and Jack welcomed their daughter Marguerite (Margie) Napier Hamilton to the world. Even though Mary was only able to biologically have 1 child, she helped raise her great niece Maria Hall whom she considered to be her (daughter). She loved the Lord, reading her bible, singing hems, watching her church services and believed in prayer. 

Mary was preceded in death by her Father Dennis Hicks Parker, Mother Marguerite Prescott Davis, Husband Jack Napier, Brother Ray Johnson and Sister Earnestine (Tina) Tuggle. 

Mary is survived by her Sister Betty Turley, Daughters Marguerite (Margie) Napier Hamilton, and Maria Hall, 6 grandchildren- Jacklyn, Whitney, Blake, Joshua, Joann, and Justin, 9 great grandchildren, a lot of nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and great great nieces & nephews. 

Celebration of Life will be held at Fuel Church on Saturday December 14th, 2024 @ 10;00 am Fuel Church 7355 US Hwy 98 N Lakeland, Fl. 33809
