Mary Ruth Lovett Chesson

Mary Ruth Lovett Chesson was born on August 31,1928, in Atlanta, Georgia.

She lived and attended school there until she met her husband Maywood "Chess" Chesson, and they married in 1948. They moved to Lakeland that spring to begin a very successful happy family life.

She is survived by her children Deborah Jordan, David Maywood Chesson (Nancy), and John Philip Chesson (Patty), many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She passed away peacefully at her home on October 23, 2024.

There will be a Memorial Service November 23, 2024, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at First United Methodist Church, Lakeland, Florida. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Samaritan's Purse or Good Shepherd Hospice.
