Matthew Daniel Mihlfeld

Matthew Daniel Mihlfeld was born on March 29, 1994, in Lakeland Regional Hospital to Cara Mihlfeld (Davis). Matthew was a loving, devoted son with whom his mom thought the sun rose and set with. He meant everything to his mother, and she was the world for him. In his childhood, Matthew was an active happy boy participating in soccer, baseball, and basketball. He grew into a man that learned to build things on his own and loved fixing things. Matthew was raised to be caring, and to be a gentleman. First, he was the light of his mother’s life, then of his wife’s.

Matthew met Alexandra in 2020, after only a couple of weeks of talking, they fell deeply in love. In 2020, he proposed on her 26th birthday, and got married on the seventh of July 2023. Matthew loved working on cars, it was one of his strongest passions. In the last few months of his life, he was attending school at Universal Technical Institution to earn a certification in diesel mechanics. He was also working full-time in an effort to provide a better life for his family. Matt was a hard worker, a loving faithful husband. Matt never gave up on those he loved. He was truly one of a kind.

He is survived by his wife Alexandra Mihlfeld and his mother Cara Mihlfeld (Davis) and he is preceded in death by his grandparents Carol J Mihlfeld (Mamaw) and Dan Mihlfeld (Papaw).

Matt’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday December the 6th, 2025, from 1-5 pm at Santa Fe Catholic High School at the Martin Powell Center, 3110 US-92, Lakeland, FL 33801.
