Patricia Ann Turlington (Robinson/Busse), 85, of Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, at Lakeland Regional Health after a decade-long struggle with dementia and cancer. She was born on February 6, 1941 in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Patricia was part of the first generation of women who balanced raising a family with a full-time career outside the home. Her professional journey began with Snelling and Snelling in Lakeland, advancing to offices in Tampa and Jacksonville, and later Denver. Upon her return to Florida, she transitioned to healthcare and insurance, where she continued to apply her dedication and skill until she was 70.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Emmett Busse and James Robinson, and her siblings, Mary Ellen Turlington and Jimmy Turlington.
Patricia was known for her quick humor, her love of playing the piano and organ, and her fondness for a good piece of fried chicken.
She is survived by her son, David Robinson (Shelley), and their children Jillian and Jarod; her daughter, Karen Matson (David), and their children Ben (Marisa), Elisa, and Rebecca; one great-grandchild, Ignacious; and her brothers, Charles (Ruby) and David Turlington (Terri).
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Heath Funeral Chapel. A private family interment will take place at a later date in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or VISTE. Her warmth, music, and humor will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
