Robert L. Carpenter, Sr Lakeland – Robert L. Carpenter, Sr., died Sunday, June 17, 2018 after a six-month long illness. He was 81 years old. He was born in Stow, Ohio of parents Oscar and Helen Carpenter. He was retired from Barney’s Pumps, where he was employed as Warehouse Manager. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline, of Lakeland; two sons, Robert Jr., of Niota, Tennessee, and Steve Carpenter of Lakeland, Florida; one daughter, Lynda McAlister of Auburn, Georgia; and two grandchildren, Hailey Carpenter of Niota, Tennessee, and Brandon McAlister of Auburn, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar, Sr., and Helen Carpenter of Mansfield, Ohio; two brothers, Oscar, Jr., and Herman, both of Ohio; and his son, Scott Carpenter of Lakeland. Graveside service will be Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 10 am at Oak Hill Burial Park, 4620 US Highway 98 South, Lakeland, FL 33812.
