Shirley Jean Hicks

Shirley Jean Hicks passed away Monday, December 1, 2025. She was born on December 11, 1936, in Fort Meade, Florida to the late Carlos and Ann Colson.

Shirley and her husband, Bobby, owned Bradley Flower Shop in Lakeland for 47 years.

She was a beloved mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was an avid book reader, and you could usually find her reading a book or studying her Bible.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 71 years. Bobby Hicks, daughter, Belinda Haire and grandson Darly Bradley Hicks.

Shirley is survived by her two children, Daryl (Stephanie) Hicks, Shari (David) Sherman; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 10:00 am at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 S. Ingraham Avenue, Lakeland, FL 33801 with services to follow at 11:00 am.

Interment will take place at Oak Hill Burial Park, 4620 US Highway 98 South, Lakeland, FL 33812.
