Tami Pearl Shaffer, age 67, passed away at noon on August 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in New Castle, PA on July 30th, 1959, Tami was the daughter of the late William Carr and Sylvia Morar. She also considered herself a daughter of her late stepfather, John Morar Jr. Tami is survived by her husband Thomas Shaffer, son Rick Suders, son Nick Suders (Leah), son Keith Lewis (Leanne), daughter Karin DuBois (Bart), son Clint Shaffer (Nathalie), brother Larry Carr (Denise), sister Donna Gilbert (Tom), sister Dianne Barillaro (Joe), 12 grandchildren whom she loved very much, and several nieces and nephews. Tami was preceded in death by her parents, sister Marilyn Sneed (Ronnie), brother John Morar III (Stephanie), and brother Jerry Carr (Donna).
Tami married the love of her life, Thomas Shaffer, on March 31st, 2013, and they shared many wonderful years while living in Florida with close friends and family. Tami loved the thrill of a good game. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo and hosting Bunco game nights in her home. She also loved the calming sense of putting together a difficult puzzle in her spare time.
Tami was a mother to all. Early in life, she enjoyed spending time with her children and took in all of their many friends and considered them as family. All were welcome and enjoyed her excellent cooking as well as her colorful personality. She worked for Airway Luggage as a customer service representative for over 15 years. She obtained a degree in accounting and then worked for Liberty Mutual for an additional 3 years before retirement.

Viewing and funeral services will be held Friday, August 14th at Cunningham Funeral Home in New Castle, PA starting at 3 PM.
