She went home to be with the Lord on May 22, 2014 due to heart failure. Virginia was preceded in death by her husbands, Harvey A. Smith and Dr. Charles W. Stum. She is survived by her son, Dr. Larry D. Smith (Marilyn), Ft. Thomas, KY, daughters, Linda S. Thomas (Bill), Lakeland, FL, Laura S. York (Bill), Gainesville, FL, 6 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
