William Earl Henry Jr

October 11, 1956 — April 28, 2025

William “Bill” Earl Henry Jr., 68, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025, in Lakeland, Florida. He was born on October 11, 1956, in Orlando, Florida, to Anna Mae and Earl Henry. Bill was the youngest of three children and a proud graduate of Tarpon Springs High School.

A devout Catholic, Bill was a longtime and faithful member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, where his faith was a cornerstone of his life.

Bill began his career in the bread industry, running a bread route in Tampa, Florida. He went on to work for the Keebler/Kellogg Company for 37 years, where he earned the distinguished “Dean of the Industry” award for his dedication and excellence. Even after retiring, Bill stayed active, working with Apter Industries. He was deeply committed to his work and treasured the friendships he built throughout his career—many of which became lifelong bonds that felt more like family.

Bill never met a stranger. He had an unforgettable presence and could light up any room with his warm personality and genuine charm. He loved sharing stories from his early career, fondly recalling the incredible people he met and the many adventures he experienced.

Outside of work, Bill enjoyed playing golf, often spending time on the course with friends. He was a passionate Florida Gator fan and loved the outdoors, especially taking his beloved dog, Sadie, for long walks. That quiet time outside brought him peace and joy.

But above all, Bill's greatest joy was his family. He married the love of his life, Kim Henry, on March 3, 1983, and they recently celebrated 42 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they loved traveling and exploring the country, especially their home state of Florida.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Kim, his children Alex Henry (Michaela) and Megan Ortman (Eric), and his beloved granddaughters Ryver, Roper, and Lucy. He is also survived by his sister, Rose Fromme, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna Mae and Earl Henry, and his sister, Rita Meana.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Heath Funeral Chapel.

Bill’s legacy of kindness, humor, and love will live on through all who had the privilege of knowing him.
