Burial
Begin Planning a Meaningful Farewell
At Heath Funeral Chapel and Crematory, we understand the importance of honoring your loved one in a way that reflects their life and values. Our burial services are designed to provide comfort, respect, and dignity during this difficult time. From immediate burial to green burial, we offer a variety of options to meet your family’s needs and preferences.
- Some funeral homes leave as soon as the casket is place in the ground. We stay to supervise the vault lid and initial placement of earth to make sure the vault has been sealed properly.
- We have funeral directors supervise visitations and viewings. Some funeral homes only have staff attendants (not funeral directors) at evening viewings/visitation.
- We offer green burial options for families who are wanting an environmentally friendly burial
Burial Options
-
Immediate Burial
Immediate burial is a simple and cost-effective option that involves burying your loved one soon after death, without a visitation or service. This option allows for a private farewell and can be personalized to meet your family’s needs.
-
Visitation
A visitation provides a dedicated time for friends and family to gather, share memories, and offer condolences. This can be held before the funeral or memorial service and can be open to all or privately arranged for close family and friends.
-
Funeral or Memorial Services
A funeral or memorial service is a formal event that celebrates and honors the life of your loved one. This can be personalized with readings, music, and other elements that reflect your loved one’s personality and life story.
-
Graveside, Chapel, or Committal Services
A graveside, chapel, or committal service is held at the burial site or in our chapel. This intimate service allows family and friends to say their final goodbyes as their loved one is laid to rest.
-
Green Burial
Green burial is an eco-friendly option that minimizes environmental impact. This involves the use of biodegradable caskets, no embalming, and natural burial grounds.
Casket Options
We offer a variety of casket options to suit your preferences and budget. From traditional hardwood caskets to eco-friendly options, we can help you find the right choice for your loved one.
Peaceful Resting
-
Ground Burial
Ground burial is the traditional form of burial, with options for single graves to family plots. We can help you navigate the process and make the arrangements.
-
Mausoleums
Mausoleums offer an above-ground option for burial. They provide a clean, dry, and ventilated environment and can be a cost-effective choice for families.
-
Cremation Options
We offer a variety of cremation options, including direct cremation, cremation with a memorial service, and cremation followed by burial. We can help you understand the options and make the right choice for your loved one.
-
Permanent Memorialization
Permanent memorialization provides a lasting physical place for future generations to remember and honor your loved one. This can include headstones, plaques, or other forms of memorial.
